Driving Range

Frequently Asked Questions

When is the best time to visit the Driving Range for the optimal experience?

We've found the late afternoon, just before sunset, offers truly spectacular views of the surrounding mountains, especially during the dry season (May-September). The air is cooler then, making for a comfortable practice session without the midday heat.

What can I expect from the practice facilities and ball quality at this range?

You'll be pleasantly surprised by the quality here; they use premium two-piece balls, which isn't always a given at ranges. The mats are well-maintained, and we appreciate the generous hitting bays that give you ample space.

How much does it cost to hit a bucket of balls, and is it good value?

You'll find the pricing incredibly reasonable, typically around ZAR 60-80 for a large bucket, offering excellent value compared to many international ranges. We always recommend getting the larger bucket; you'll want the extra practice time.

Are there any amenities beyond just hitting balls, like food or a pro shop?

Absolutely, this isn't just a hitting bay. They have a fantastic little cafe serving proper South African coffee and delicious light bites, perfect for a post-practice snack. You'll also find a small, well-stocked pro shop for essentials.

Is the Driving Range suitable for beginners or those looking for coaching?

This spot is perfect for beginners; the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, not intimidating at all. They have excellent PGA-certified pros on staff who offer lessons, and we've seen them work wonders with new golfers.
