Frequently Asked Questions
Will I encounter any wildlife on the fairways at this course?
Absolutely, and it's part of the charm here. You'll often spot impala grazing peacefully near the rough or a troop of vervet monkeys observing your swing from the trees. Just remember to give them their space, especially around the 7th hole where they're particularly curious.
When's the best time of year to play this course for ideal conditions?
We highly recommend visiting during the dry winter months, from May to September. The weather is typically sunny and mild, making for incredibly comfortable rounds, and the course plays firm and fast. Avoid the summer rains if you prefer a drier experience.
What's the most memorable or challenging hole I should prepare for?
Without a doubt, the par-3 14th will stick with you-it's a stunner and a real test. You're hitting over a deep ravine to a well-guarded green, often with a swirling breeze that makes club selection crucial. Don't be surprised if you lose a ball or two, but the view alone is worth it.
Are caddies available, and do you recommend using one?
Yes, caddies are readily available and we strongly advise taking one-they're invaluable here. Our caddies are incredibly knowledgeable about the subtle breaks on these greens and can offer fantastic local insights, making your round much more enjoyable and strategic. Plus, it supports the local community.
What's the clubhouse experience like after a round?
The clubhouse offers a fantastic, relaxed atmosphere to unwind. We love grabbing a cold local lager on the veranda overlooking the 18th green, often with a delicious braai-style lunch. It's the perfect spot to recount your birdies and bogeys while soaking in the African sunset.
