Green Acres Golf & Country Resort

Frequently Asked Questions

When's the best time of year to play Green Acres without getting soaked?

We've played Green Acres in all seasons, and honestly, aim for the dry months between March and September. You'll still get the occasional tropical shower, but your chances of a full round without a downpour are much higher then. The course drains surprisingly well, but nobody enjoys playing in a monsoon.

What's the real challenge at Green Acres - are there any "must-play" holes?

Green Acres truly tests your short game, especially around the greens which can be deceptively tricky with subtle breaks. Keep an eye out for the par-3 7th - it's a beautiful downhill shot over water, but that prevailing crosswind will make you think twice about your club selection.

Do I need a caddy at Green Acres, or can I easily navigate with just a buggy?

While buggies are available and the course is walkable, we highly recommend taking a caddy at Green Acres, especially if it's your first time. Their local knowledge is invaluable for reading the greens and navigating some of the more undulating fairways, saving you strokes and frustration.

What's the clubhouse like at Green Acres - should we plan to eat there after our round?

Absolutely, plan to refuel at the Green Acres clubhouse; it's a real highlight. Their Nasi Lemak is legendary among local golfers, and the cold beer on the veranda overlooking the 18th green is the perfect way to unwind after battling the course. Don't miss it.

Is Green Acres just about golf, or is there a unique natural experience to expect?

Green Acres offers more than just golf; it's a proper immersion in Malaysian nature. You'll often spot monitor lizards sunning themselves near the water hazards and hear exotic birds throughout your round - it really adds to the tranquil, tropical vibe. Just remember to keep an eye on your ball, not just the wildlife!
