Beadlow Manor
Frequently Asked Questions
When's the best time of year to tackle Beadlow Manor without getting soaked?
We always recommend aiming for late spring through early autumn, typically May to September. You'll find the course conditions are at their best then, offering firmer fairways and truer greens. While you should always pack layers and waterproofs for English golf, these months give you the best chance for a drier round.
What's the real challenge at Beadlow Manor - is it just another parkland course?
Don't let the parkland setting make you complacent; Beadlow Manor demands precision, especially on the back nine where water features come into play more often than you'd expect. Those mature trees aren't just for show - they'll punish any errant shots, making it a proper test of course management. It's definitely more than just a stroll in the park.
Is Beadlow Manor a good value for a full day of golf, or just a quick round?
We think it's excellent value for a full day, especially if you take advantage of their society packages or twilight rates. With 36 holes available, you can easily make a day of it, and the practice facilities are solid for warming up or honing your short game. The clubhouse also offers a welcoming spot for a post-round pint and a decent meal.
What's the one hole at Beadlow Manor that really sticks in your mind?
For us, it's the par-3 17th on the main course - it's a beauty and a beast. You're hitting over water to a well-guarded green, and the pressure is on, especially if your match is close. It's a proper risk-reward moment that can truly make or break your round, and it's one you won't forget.
How easy is it to get to Beadlow Manor, and should I plan an overnight stay?
Beadlow Manor is quite accessible by car, located just off major routes in Bedfordshire, making it an easy day trip from London or the Midlands. While they do have an on-site hotel, we usually recommend an overnight stay only for groups or if you're planning to play both courses. Otherwise, it's a comfortable drive in and out for a single round.
