Driving Range
Frequently Asked Questions
What's the best time to visit this driving range, especially considering the English weather?
We recommend visiting in the late afternoon or early evening; the floodlights create a fantastic atmosphere, and it's often less crowded. With ample covered bays, you'll stay dry even if a classic English drizzle rolls in, so don't let the weather put you off.
Does this range offer any advanced practice technology like Trackman or Toptracer?
You'll be pleased to find every bay here is equipped with the latest Toptracer technology, which truly elevates your practice session. It's brilliant for tracking your distances, ball speed, and shot shape, making your time much more productive than just hitting blindly.
How are the practice balls and what kind of targets can I expect to aim for?
The practice balls here are surprisingly good quality - not those rock-hard, scuffed-up ones you sometimes find at other ranges. They've also set up some genuinely engaging targets, including a fun replica bunker and a small island green at 150 yards, which makes practice feel less like a chore.
What are the typical costs for a bucket of balls, and is it good value?
A large bucket of 100 balls will typically cost you around £10-£12, which we think offers excellent value for the facilities. Considering the Toptracer technology and the decent quality balls, you're getting a premium practice experience without breaking the bank.
Is there anything else to do at the range besides hitting balls, like food or coaching?
Absolutely, they have a surprisingly good little cafe serving proper English breakfast baps and decent coffee, perfect for a pre-round warm-up or post-session debrief. You can also book lessons with their PGA pros, who are genuinely fantastic and offer tailored advice to improve your game.
