Club de Golf Novo Sancti Petri
Frequently Asked Questions
When is the ideal time to play golf at Novo Sancti Petri for the best experience?
We always recommend visiting in spring (April-May) or early autumn (September-October). The weather is absolutely perfect then-warm but not scorching-and you'll avoid the peak summer crowds, making for a much more relaxed round.
How challenging are the courses at Novo Sancti Petri, especially for a mid-handicapper?
Seve Ballesteros designed these courses to be enjoyable but certainly not a walk in the park. The A and B nines (Mar y Pinos) offer a fantastic test with some tricky water hazards, while the C nine (Centro) is a bit more forgiving, perfect if you're looking for a slightly less intense round.
What's the standout feature or signature hole I should look forward to at Novo Sancti Petri?
You absolutely have to experience the 6th hole on the Mar y Pinos course-it's a par-3 right along the beach with the Atlantic Ocean crashing beside you. It's a truly unforgettable shot, and the views alone are worth the visit.
Should I plan to stay at one of the resorts connected to Novo Sancti Petri, or are there good off-site options?
Staying at one of the on-site hotels, like the Hipotels Barrosa Park, offers incredible convenience, with easy access to the first tee and practice facilities. However, if you prefer more local charm or a different budget, the nearby town of Chiclana de la Frontera has some great independent options and fantastic tapas bars.
What kind of atmosphere can I expect at Novo Sancti Petri-is it very formal or more relaxed?
You'll find a wonderfully relaxed yet professional atmosphere here, which we really appreciate. While it's a championship course, it never feels stuffy; golfers of all levels are made to feel welcome, and the staff are genuinely friendly, making for a comfortable day out.
