You'll find Summerlea truly shines from late May through early October. We recommend targeting late September for stunning fall foliage and fewer crowds, offering a serene round on impeccably maintained fairways. Just remember to book your tee time well in advance, especially on weekends.

Summerlea has two courses- which one should I play first, and what's the key difference?

We always steer first-timers towards the Dorion course; it's a classic parkland layout that offers a fair but engaging challenge. The Cascades course, while equally beautiful, demands more precision and strategic thinking, so save that for your second visit once you've got the lay of the land. Expect pristine conditions on both, but Dorion feels a bit more forgiving off the tee.

What's the one "must-do" experience or signature hole at Summerlea that I shouldn't miss?

You absolutely have to experience the finishing stretch on the Dorion course, particularly the par-3 17th over water. It's a beautiful, nerve-wracking shot that can make or break your round, followed by a strong par-4 18th that brings you right back to the clubhouse. It's a memorable way to cap off your day.

Is Summerlea a walkable course, or should I plan on taking a cart?

While both courses are relatively flat and certainly walkable, we recommend a cart if you're playing 36 holes or if it's a hot summer day. The pace of play is generally good, but a cart helps keep things moving, especially if you're not used to carrying your bag for a full round. Don't forget to hydrate!
