Meadowmont Golf Course
Frequently Asked Questions
When is the absolute best time of year to experience Meadowmont Golf Course?
We always steer friends towards Meadowmont in the fall, typically late September through October. The vibrant foliage makes for stunning backdrops, and the cooler, crisp air is just perfect for walking the course. You'll find the greens are usually in peak condition then, too.
What's the one hole at Meadowmont Golf Course that truly tests your game?
For us, the par-3 14th hole is Meadowmont's signature challenge - it's a dramatic downhill shot over a ravine to a well-guarded green. You'll need to trust your club selection and commit to the shot; anything short or wide will be severely punished. It's a beautiful hole, but don't let the views distract you from the task at hand.
After a round, what can we expect from the clubhouse experience at Meadowmont?
The Meadowmont clubhouse has a wonderfully relaxed, unpretentious vibe that we really appreciate. Their grill, "The Divot Stop," serves up excellent local craft beers and surprisingly good sandwiches - try the pulled pork. It's the perfect spot to recap your round without any stuffiness.
Given the layout, is Meadowmont Golf Course easily walkable, or should I plan on taking a cart?
Meadowmont features some significant elevation changes, particularly on the back nine, so we generally recommend a cart unless you're truly looking for a vigorous workout. While it's certainly walkable, saving your energy for your swing on those uphill climbs will likely lead to a more enjoyable round. You'll appreciate the views more from a cart, too.
How busy does Meadowmont Golf Course get, and what's the typical pace of play?
Meadowmont can get quite popular, especially on weekend mornings, so we always advise booking an early tee time if you prefer a quicker round. Generally, you can expect a comfortable 4-hour to 4-hour-30-minute pace during peak times, but weekdays often offer a much faster experience. Don't rush; enjoy the course.
