Outlaw Course

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes the Outlaw Course truly live up to its "Outlaw" name?

You'll immediately feel the rugged spirit here; it's less about manicured perfection and more about raw, natural golf. The course embraces its wild surroundings, with wide-open fairways that demand strategic placement rather than just bombing it, and natural arroyos often serving as formidable hazards. It truly feels like golf designed by the land itself, not forced upon it.

Is the Outlaw Course suitable for all skill levels, or is it a real challenge?

This course is definitely a challenge, but don't let the "Outlaw" name scare you off completely if you're not a scratch golfer. We recommend playing from the appropriate tees; the back tees are a beast, but the forward sets offer a much more enjoyable, strategic round. Expect firm, fast conditions and greens that demand precision, so bring your short game.

When is the absolute best time of year to play the Outlaw Course for ideal conditions?

We always recommend visiting in the shoulder seasons-late spring (April-May) or early fall (September-October)-to experience the Outlaw Course at its prime. You'll avoid the intense summer heat and the occasional blustery winter winds, enjoying comfortable temperatures and the course in its most vibrant, playable state. The firm turf plays beautifully then.

What's the one "must-experience" hole or feature at the Outlaw Course?

You absolutely have to experience the stretch from holes 14 through 16, which we affectionately call "The Gauntlet." The par-3 15th, in particular, demands a precise shot over a deep canyon to a green perched precariously on a ridge-it's visually stunning and incredibly intimidating. If you walk away with par there, you've earned your bragging rights.

What should I expect regarding green fees and booking a tee time at the Outlaw Course?

The Outlaw Course is a premium experience, so expect green fees to reflect that, typically in the $150-$250 range depending on the season and time of day. We strongly advise booking your tee time well in advance, especially for weekend play during peak seasons, as it's a popular track. Look for twilight rates if you're flexible, they can offer good value.
