The Wolverine Golf Course

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the signature experience at The Wolverine, and what should I expect from the course design?

We absolutely love the blend of challenge and playability here. You'll find a fantastic mix of open fairways and tighter, tree-lined holes that really test your shot-making, especially around the back nine. The course design truly maximizes the natural terrain, so expect some elevation changes and beautiful views.

When is the best time to play The Wolverine, and what are the typical green fees?

We always recommend visiting in late spring or early fall; the conditions are pristine, and the weather is usually perfect for a full round. Expect green fees to be in the $80-$120 range, which we think is a fair price for the quality of golf you're getting. Booking ahead is a must, especially on weekends.

Are there any specific holes at The Wolverine I should pay extra attention to, or a particular challenge to prepare for?

Absolutely, keep a close eye on the par-3 17th - it's a stunner over water that demands precision and can easily make or break your scorecard. We also find the doglegs on the front nine require smart club selection, so don't just bomb it off the tee without a plan.

Is The Wolverine a walkable course, and what kind of golfer will enjoy it most?

While it's certainly walkable, we often opt for a cart due to some of the longer transitions between holes and the elevation changes; it just makes for a more relaxed round. This course is perfect for the mid-to-low handicapper who appreciates a strategic challenge, but higher handicappers will still have a blast if they manage expectations.

What's the clubhouse experience like at The Wolverine, and is there a good spot for a post-round drink?

The clubhouse at The Wolverine is welcoming and unpretentious, exactly what you want after a round. We always head to the patio overlooking the 18th green for a cold beverage and to dissect our shots-it's the perfect spot to unwind and soak in the atmosphere. Their casual grill menu is surprisingly good too.
