Frequently Asked Questions
When's the best time of year to experience Hunter's Green Country Club?
We always recommend visiting Hunter's Green between late October and early May. The Florida weather is absolutely perfect then-you'll get comfortable temperatures and lower humidity, making for a truly enjoyable round. The course conditions are typically at their peak, too, with lush fairways and fast greens.
What's the biggest challenge or most memorable hole at Hunter's Green?
For us, the par-4 14th hole always stands out. It's a dogleg left with water guarding the entire left side, demanding a precise tee shot to avoid trouble. The approach shot then plays to a well-bunkered green, making it a real test of nerve and accuracy.
Can you walk the course at Hunter's Green, and what's the typical pace of play?
While you certainly can walk Hunter's Green, we'd advise taking a cart, especially during the warmer months-it's a fairly spread-out layout. Expect a comfortable pace of play, usually around four hours for a foursome, as the club does a good job managing tee times.
What should I expect regarding greens fees and access for non-members at Hunter's Green?
Hunter's Green is primarily a member's club, but they do offer limited public play, often through resort packages or after 1 PM on weekdays. Greens fees for non-members typically range from $90-150, depending on the season and time of day, which is fair for the quality you get.
Beyond the golf, what makes the Hunter's Green experience complete?
After your round, definitely stick around for a meal at The Grille. Their outdoor patio overlooks the 18th green and is the perfect spot to unwind with a cold drink and some excellent clubhouse fare. It's a relaxed, friendly atmosphere that really caps off the day.
