Dye's Walk Country Club

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the best time of year to play Dye's Walk and avoid the biggest crowds?

We've found late spring-early summer (May-June) or early fall (September-October) offers the ideal experience at Dye's Walk. You'll enjoy comfortable temperatures and the course is typically less crowded than peak summer, letting you truly appreciate the layout without feeling rushed.

Is Dye's Walk a walkable course, or should I plan on taking a cart?

While Dye's Walk isn't overly hilly, we definitely recommend taking a cart, especially if you're playing 18 holes. The distances between some greens and tees can be a bit of a trek, and you'll conserve energy to focus on the strategic bunkering and tricky greens.

How challenging is Dye's Walk for a mid-handicapper, and what should I expect?

Dye's Walk presents a fair but firm challenge for mid-handicappers, particularly from the white or blue tees. You'll find strategic bunkering and some tricky green complexes that demand thoughtful shot placement, but it's not overly penalizing if you manage to stay out of the fescue.

What's the standout hole or feature I shouldn't miss at Dye's Walk?

You absolutely have to pay attention to the par-3 14th at Dye's Walk-it's a real beauty and a classic Dye design. The water guarding the front and left side of the green makes for a thrilling tee shot, and the views from the tee box are fantastic.

Does Dye's Walk offer any unique dining experiences after a round?

After your round, we always head to The Grille Room at Dye's Walk for a casual but excellent meal. Their signature burger is fantastic, and the patio offers a relaxed setting overlooking the 18th green-perfect for unwinding and discussing your round.
