Garland Lodge & Resort
Frequently Asked Questions
When is the absolute best time to visit Garland Lodge & Resort for a golf trip?
We always recommend late spring-early summer (May-June) or early fall (September-early October) for Garland. You'll find the courses in prime condition, the weather is usually fantastic for 36 holes a day, and you avoid the peak summer crowds and humidity.
With four courses, which one should I prioritize if I only have time for a couple of rounds at Garland?
If you're short on time, definitely make sure to play Monarch and Fountains. Monarch offers a classic, tree-lined challenge, while Fountains provides a more open, links-style feel with some truly memorable water features. You'll get a great taste of Garland's variety with those two.
What's the lodging experience like at Garland, and how convenient is it for golfers?
The lodging at Garland is incredibly convenient, designed with golfers in mind. You'll find comfortable rooms and villas right on-site, often just a short walk or shuttle ride from the first tee. It makes for a seamless golf getaway, letting you focus entirely on your game and relaxation.
Are there good dining options available right at the resort, or should we plan to venture out?
You absolutely don't need to leave the resort for great food. Garland offers several excellent dining options, from casual pub fare perfect after a round to more upscale experiences. We've always found the quality to be high, with hearty meals that hit the spot after a long day on the links.
What truly sets Garland Lodge & Resort apart from other golf destinations in Michigan?
What makes Garland unique is the sheer quality and variety of its four championship courses, all within one self-contained resort. It's rare to find such distinct layouts-from classic parkland to more open designs-plus comfortable lodging and dining, all without ever needing to leave the property. It's a true golf immersion experience.
